For sale a stunning mid-50s to mid-60’s Ercol “Windsor” range, Model 430 highboard/sideboard. Made from solid English Elm and mounted on the original, semi-concealed, ball castors, the cabinet consists of a long deep drawer, two door cupboard with adjustable shelf, and a large horizontal cupboard, with a flip-down door, consisting several shallow adjustable shelves and a partition.
This early model of the cabinet is distinguished from the later models by the fact that it has an overhanging lip to the top as well as to the base (later models only have it on the base).
The sideboard is beautifully constructed and has a gorgeous grain and patina and is in extremely good condition for it’s age, both inside and outside, with the only issue of note being a horizontal scratch to both of the central doors, which I have shown in the photographs and which don’t detract in any major way.
