For sale a stunningly elegant and very rare Arne Hovmand Olsen designed Teak sideboard / cabinet, produced by Mogens Kold Mobelfabrik of Denmark, circa 1960’s.
Made with fine figured teak, matching grain running across both doors, mounted on distinctive sledge legs and featuring beautifully constructed concealed groove handles which run round the edges of the doors. The inside of the unit contains a shelf and five felt lined removable tray drawers.
The sideboard is in great overall condition, though there are a few minor faults, which include a missing piece from the bottom right hand edge of the right hand door, a subtle repair to the top right hand edge of the same door and a repair to the front left edging of the cabinet (it’s been re-glued), which I have photographed and none of which detracts too much from the beauty of this piece. Apart from this the cabinet is in very good vintage condition, having only minor marks and scratches commensurate with age and careful use and the inside is also very clean.
