Mid-Century Jacques Biny “Zodiaque” Wall Light for Lita, France 1950s

For sale a vintage Mid-Century “Zodiaque” wall sconce designed by Jacques Biny for LITA of France and dating from the 1950s. These iconic mid-century French wall lights project light through a magnifying glass, producing a concentrated light source, ideal for reading or focussed work.

Consisting of a black lacquered metal bulb holder & stem with a mounted polished brass base, hood and handle for adjusting direction, the light is in used vintage condition, with patina and wear consistent with 60+ years of age and use (see photos).
