For sale a stunning set of 7 chrome mid-century stackable / modular “NAGEL” candle holders & matching system Bowl/dish, designed by Fritz Nagel & Ceasar Stoffi and produced by BMF of Germany in the 1960s and 70s.
In good vintage condition with marks & scratches commensurate with 40 to 50 years of age and use, but nothing to detract. Please see the photos for the worst of it.
These candle holders are a lot of fun, allowing for endless combinations, always looking fantastically sculptural and often being used as purely decorative objects rather than for their intended purpose. The bowl, which is harder to come by, adds a further visual element as well as another level of utility. Bag yourself an iconic piece of must-have modernist design!
