For sale is a gold Tom Dixon “Gem” series cast-aluminium three-candle candelabra, for the “Rough & Smooth” Collection, dating from 2013.

Tom Dixon’s “GEM” series was part of Dixon’s “Rough & Smooth” collection, first unveiled at the MOST exhibition during Milan Design Week in March 2013. The series explored the faceted geometry of gemstones through angular lights, mirrors, and tables, all sand-cast in nickel-plated aluminium and hand-polished to a reflective finish. The GEM candelabra, candle holders and vases, produced shortly after the debut, continued this sculptural language and belonged to the ‘Rough’ side of the original 2013 release.

The candle holder is in fair vintage condition, with wear commensurate with age & use. Of note, there is a visible loss of gilding in some areas, as shown in the photographs, but nothing that detracts overly.

Evoking the spirit of mid-century brutalist design, the candelabra merges the design aesthetics of that era with contemporary appeal to deliver a relevant and coherent design solution.

A true icon of contemporary British design, Tom Dixon is known for transforming industrial materials into sculptural, collectable works. Since founding his brand in 2002, he has become synonymous with modern luxury and craftsmanship, creating designs that are both functional and visually compelling. Each Tom Dixon piece carries his signature balance of innovation, material honesty, and timeless appeal.
